Mike Sumner - Pure Breed Poultry and Waterfowl

The Crimson Dawn, also known as the Black Winged Bronze, has not been seen in the UK for many years.  Some are known to be in one private collection, but these have not been distributed.  As there appear to be none in circulation, it is effectively extinct as a pure breed in the UK, but the colour genes are present in other varieties, so it can be re-made.

I have been working on this for some time, and have a stag but he is contaminated by one red gene and one grey gene.  He also carries the pencilling gene and can be seen in the picture below. I am hoping to produce some pure stock in 2011.
